All mountain / enduro mountain biking
For those who want to test or improve their riding skills, we offer in addition to our XC rides a number of more challenging rides. There is a lot of terminology around in the mountain biking sport such as enduro or all-mountain mountain biking. Whatever the terms, these rides are characterised by more challenging climbs, sometimes tricky descents and technical features such as drop-offs and large rocks.
We offer these rides without rental bikes since we only have hardtails in our fleet of bikes. For these rides a full suspension bike with min. 120 mm travel is required. If you can bring your own bike, that would be great and it would give you the chance to test your bike under the Spanish riding conditions. If bringing your own bike isn´t an option we can make a suggestion to rent one locally.

1. Go ahead, make your day
This ride we do from Snakebite HQ. We climb about 8 K towards Teulada. From the top of the hill we descent on both wide and single track for about 3 k, one of the longest uninterrupted downhill runs you can do so close to the coast here. The descent is not super technical but at some points pretty steep. After the descent we ride to Gata de Gorgos where we break for coffee. After the break we ride the so-called "circuito de Gata", a man-made track with good corners and berms. Fun! We finish again at Snakebite HQ.

2. Jacob´s ladder
We start the ride in Benissa, climbing a steep hill. At the back of this hill lies, what we call, "Jacob´s ladder". This trails is like stairs cut into the rocks of the mountain. Once you get into the right rhythm, great descending! Back down, we climb some more, followed by more rocky descends. Quite the teeth rattler... To give our hands and limbs some rest we follow a silky smooth single track before we head to Lliber, a local gem with a great place for a coffee stop. Although we haven´t done much kilometers yet, we discuss our way ahead since in this valley there are more good tracks than we can ride in one day.

3. Double Bernia Bastard
This is mountain biking at the Costa Blanca on the rocks! We start our ride again from Benissa and we work our way uphill for about 10 K. On top of the mountain (Sierra de Solana) we take in some amazing views from the sea to the mountains (Sierra de Bernia) before starting our first run down. After a rocky start this trail is pretty smooth, especially compared to the second run. We climb back up to do the second run, and drop down on, what we call, "The Croc", referring to the spiky back of a crocodile. The Croc is a 2,5 K downhill trail which at first is a bit hard to ride but as you proceed you get to know it´s secret and we expect by the time you finish down you will love it.
