The basics: this is how we roll
- Tours can be booked 7 days of the week, all year round (subject to availability).
- To book a tour: send us a message (see our Contact page).
- The point of departure of a guided tour varies. We can ride from Snakebite in Moraira but rides can also start in Benitachell, Calpe, Benissa, Jávea, Altea or any other place you find practicable. In most cases we take you by car to the start of the route. Depending on the group size we may request you to follow in your own (rental) car.
- We choose routes together, depending on your personal wishes such as length of the route, technical level, elevation etcetera.
- Before the ride we go over the details of the route and explain how to ride the bike. Next, we will adjust the bike to your height and we fit it with the pedals of your choice (i.e. SPD (clipless) or flat pedals)
- We try to avoid riding in the rain. So if it rains, we'll try to find another day with you with dry(er) weather.
- As far as group size goes, we think ‘less is more.’ So groups are small, i.e. usually from one to seven persons. Bigger groups are welcome too, but we may require to have a second guide on the ride. Private tours can also be arranged.
- A ride usually takes around three and four hours.
- Prices of guided tours listed on this site always include bike rental, a helmet and a water bottle.
- Bike rental is not required to book a guided tour. We give a discount if you bring your own bike. The discount depends on the tour(s) you book and the number of persons coming along.
- During the ride we may visit a bar or terrace for drinks. These drinks are not included in the tour pack.
- Participation is at your own risk. You are required to wear a helmet and obey traffic laws at all times.
- Mountain biking involves some risk, as does cycling or any outdoor activity in general. We will try to choose trails within your capability, but it is your responsibility not to extend yourself beyond that capability. Remember: riding should be fun and you should never feel pressured to take risks.
- Please note that mountain bike trails in Spain are "living things". Trail conditions may change as a result of the weather, damages and other factors. As a result it is sometimes necessary to adjust the route of our tours to ensure safe riding and making sure your Snakebite MTB tour is the best possible experience.
- It is your own responsibility to make sure you have adequate travel and / or medical insurance. When in doubt, please check your insurance policy for coverage of sports activities (abroad). See for more information our terms and conditions.
- Needless to say: respect nature, other cyclists, hikers, horse riders and other.
- Enjoy the ride!
