On our Rides page we list several interesting tours. These should give you an idea of what to expect when you book one of our guided tours. Remember that nothing is written in stone: tours can be adapted, shortened or even combined to suit your personal wishes. So you can either choose one of the rides listed on our website, or express any preference you may have and we will try to accommodate this. We can discuss your wishes for the trip in advance via email, Whatsapp or over the phone.
Point of departure of a guided tour is Snakebite in Moraira or any other place in Moraira you find practicable. Before the ride we go over the details of the route and explain how to ride the bike. Next, we will adjust the bike to your height and we fit it with the pedals of your choice (i.e. SPD (clipless) or flat pedals).
In most cases we take you by car to the start of the route. Depending on the group size we may request you to follow in your own (rental) car.
We ride seven days of the week, all year round. But we try to avoid riding in the rain. So if it rains, we'll try to find another day with you with dry(er) weather.
As far as group size goes, we think ‘less is more.’ So groups are small, i.e. usually from one to seven persons. Bigger groups are welcome too, but we may require tio have a second guide ride along.
We choose routes together, depending on your personal wishes such as length of the route, technical level, elevation etcetera. Snakebite has a wide range of suggestions to choose from.
A ride usually takes around four hours. We ride between 30 to 60 kilometres. Routes are not too technical and dangerous ridges will be avoided or pointed out in advance.
During the ride we may visit a bar or terrace for drinks. These drinks are not included in the pack.
Participation is at your own risk. You are required to wear a helmet and obey traffic laws at all times.
Mountain biking involves some risk, as does cycling or any outdoor activity in general. We will try to choose trails within your capability, but it is your responsibility not to extend yourself beyond that capability. Remember: riding should be fun and you should never feel pressured to take risks.
It is your own responsibility to make sure you have adequate travel and / or medical insurance. When in doubt, please check your insurance policy for coverage of sports activities (abroad). See for more information our terms and conditions.
Respect nature, other cyclists and hikers.
Enjoy the ride!
Our normal operations have resumed as per 1 June. We fully comply with all COVID-19 Coronavirus measures. To help us do so, we ask you to pre book your rental bike and / or guided tour 24 h in advance. To mitigate risks related to the Corona virus as much as possible:
We clean and sanitize rental bikes after every ride;
We clean helmets and bottles after each use. However, if you do have your own helmet and bottle we suggest you use those. We offer the possibility to buy a new helmet and / or bottle (please notify us in advance!);
We deliver rental bikes to your home (small charge may apply).
We keep prices low
We'll do our best to keep prices low so as to be able to share the joy of a guided MTB tour with as many as possible. Prices of guided tours start at € 29,50 per person.
Prices of guided tours listed on this site always include bike rental, a helmet and a water bottle. Prices listed are based on two or more participants. You are always welcome to book a ride solo, but there will be an additional charge.
Bike rental is not required to book a guided tour. In that case we make an offer based on the tour(s) you book and the number of persons coming along.
Not included in the price is insurance for any personal injuries or damage to third parties. Clients are requested to check their travel insurance to see if they have sufficient coverage for this.
