Day 1 - Let´s rock ´n roll (trail day)
We use this first day to get acquainted with the terrain that is so typical for this part of the Costa Blanca. We leave Moraira by car towards the Jalón Valley (15 mins drive). Here we cruise the local trails as well as a few villages in the valley which are always good for a coffee stop and / or a spot of lunch. Trails vary from rocky climbs and descents on both single and wider tracks. In between we´ll move around the valley using small farm roads and gravel paths. The ride is estimated to be around 30 - 45 km / 600 – 750 mtrs climbing (depending on your programme). |

Day 2 - Shake, rattle and roll (all mountain ride)
Today we crank it up a couple of notches. Four downhill runs with three van assisted uplifts. The first is a warm up on the so-called “Jacob’s ladder”. Then, we head to the Sierra de Bernia. Set against amazing views over the coastline, we do two downhill runs, which we call the “Double Bernia bastard”. One of the runs is called the “Croc”, referring to the pointy back of a crocodile. Although it is a downhill run, it is hard work because of the rocky surface so after this one we have lunch on top of the mountain. After lunch we follow “See you on the flip side”, a technical single track right across the Bernia all the way down into the valley. |
Day 3 – Happy hardcore (all mountain ride)
On this day we visit the area south of the Sierra de Bernia, namely the Puig Campana and León Dormido. The first uplift brings us to “la Cadena” from where we climb to the highest point of the day. After several natural, rocky trails we end up at a mini bike park where we can play some more on the bikes ;) and eventually have lunch. After lunch another uplift takes us to the village of Xirles. We get dropped off at the highest point so we can immediately start descending. Expect flowy, rocky trails built on terraces that are so typical for this part of Spain. |
Day 4 – Let´s boogie (trail day)
The goal of this last riding day is to make sure you leave with the ultimate Valencian vibes. That means presenting you with the right combination of mountains, trails and sea views. After a short drive in the van, we climb to the top of a mountain near Teulada. Here you have a 360 view of this part of the Costa Blanca. From the top of the hill we descent on both double / single track for about 3 K. The descent is not super technical but at some points pretty steep. After the descent we ride to Gata de Gorgos where we break for coffee. After the break we ride the so-called "circuito de Gata", a man-made track with good corners and berms. Fun! Total distance: appr. 35 K with 700 mtrs of climbing. |
