Come along with Snakebite's guided MTB tours!
In the vicinity of Moraira you will find a wide choice of MTB tracks. From comfortable gravel paths through vineyards, to challenging rock climbing and technical single tracks, you will find it here.
Joining a guided MTB ride will help you get the most pleasure out of your mountain biking holiday. You will enjoy your bike ride without having to worry about finding your way back home and getting stuck on busy roads. A guided MTB tour will always be suited to your fitness level and skills.
We´ve selected a range of fun tours and the description of each tour should give you an idea of what to expect. However, nothing is written in stone: tours can be adapted, shortened or even combined to suit your personal wishes. So you can either choose one of the rides listed on our website, or express any preference you may have and we will try to accommodate this.
Below we sum up our collection of rides and the basic numbers (distance and elevation). More information about each ride is found on the next three subpages. How our guided tours are set up is explained at the bottom of this page.
Guided tours that suit your level: overview
What tour level is right for you? We distinguish between three MTB tour-levels:
- Level 1: used to riding a bike, MTB skills not strictly necessary.
- Level 2: been riding a mountain bike for at least two years. Possesses the basic MTB skills.
- Level 3: experienced mountain biker, comfortable on most types of terrain.
In addition, we also selected specific guided E-MTB tours as well as a couple of rides you can do self-guided, using a GPS.

Level 1 - fun on the bike
These tours are for anyone who wants to enjoy the Spanish coast and countryside by bike. MTB experience is useful, but not essential for every tour. We can tailor these rides to your own ability and preferences. While some rides are more challenging than others, it is generally important to have a reasonable level of fitness.
Below you will find a range of tours, ranging from those using the network of small back roads - great for family trips with children, for example - to those for regular mountain bikers who want to learn off-road riding the Spanish way.
- Price: from € 42,50 p.p. (MTB rental, helmet, water bottle and bike insurance included). 4 or more persons: from € 39,50 p.p.
- Bring your own bike: from € 25,00 p.p.
- A surcharge applies for tour no. 3.

Level 2 - cross country rides
For this category we selected a series of cross country (XC) and trail tours. Mountain bike experience is recommended for these tours, as well as a (reasonably) good level of fitness.
- Price: from € 42,50 p.p. (MTB rental, helmet, water bottle and bike insurance included).
- Bring your own bike: from € 25,00 p.p.

Level 3 - all mountain rides
For those who want to test or improve their skills, we offer a number of more challenging rides in addition to our XC rides. There is a lot of terminology in mountain biking, such as enduro or all-mountain mountain biking. Whatever the terms, these tours are characterized by more challenging climbs, sometimes tricky descents and technical elements such as drop-offs and large rocks.
We offer these rides without rental bikes, as we only have hardtails in our bike fleet. For these rides a full suspension bike with min. 120 mm of travel is required. Bringing your own bike is possible too and gives the opportunity to test your bike in Spanish conditions. If that is not an option, we can make a suggestion to rent a bike on site.
- Price: (from) € 35,00 p.p.

Guided E-MTB tours
Basically, all our rides can be done using an analogue bike as well as an E-MTB. However, we´ve designed a couple of rides which are specifically for ebikes as it´s easier to cover a bit more distance and / or climbing.
- Price: from € 65,00 per p.p.
- In combination with bike rental.

Self guiding (GPS routes)
For those who would like to go out alone, we also have a number of tours that can be cycled using GPS navigation.
- GPS rental: € 5,00 per day.
- Only in combination with bike rental.

This is how we roll
You choose
On this website we have described a number of routes. This way you can already get an idea of what we have to offer for mountain bikers. Tours can of course be adjusted - shortened, extended or even combined - based on your wishes. We can also always adjust routes along the way. That is the advantage of our small-scale setup. If you have specific wishes, please let us know in advance so that we can take them into account as best as possible.
And further
- You can bring your own pedals or have them fitted by us. We have standard flat pedals or Shimano SPD pedals. Please let us know in advance how you want to ride.
- The point of departure of guided tours is normally Snakebite in Moraira. For certain tours we will send you the location of the starting point.
- We ride seven days a week, all year round. But on the rare occasion that it rains, we try to find an alternative day (if schedule allows it).
- For us, the rule of thumb is ‘less is more’ when it comes to group size. Groups are therefore small, usually between one and seven people. Larger groups are of course very welcome. In that case, we can suggest cycling with a second guide.
- A tour lasts approximately three to four hours on average. We cycle between 30 and 50 kilometres. But we choose routes together based on your personal preferences regarding distance, climbing, technical level, etc. We have a wide range of route suggestions for you to choose from.
- Mountain biking involves risks, just like cycling or other outdoor activities in general. We take your skills into account as much as possible when choosing the route, but it is your own responsibility not to go beyond what you feel comfortable with. Remember: mountain biking should be fun and you should never do anything you don’t want to do.
- Participation is therefore always at your own risk. In accordance with Spanish law, you must always wear a helmet and comply with traffic regulations.
- The minimum age to participate in the tours is 16 years. Younger riders must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- You are responsible for checking in advance whether your travel insurance covers any accidents or damage to third parties. Also read our terms and conditions.
- Cycle with respect for nature, other cyclists and hikers.
- Enjoy the ride!
Get inspired!
