Guided tours level 2

The smell of gravel in the morning

Route: Benissa – Lliber  Jalón – Benissa

One of our personal favourites. This tour is a great way to get a good impression of this corner of Spain. From Benissa we pass through the vineyards of the 'Vall de Pop' to the villages of Lliber, Jalón and Parcent. This tour takes us over small country roads, gravel roads and some rocky sections. Heading back we cycle at the foot of the 'Coll de Rates' with views of the valley and we check out a nice single track. Usually we break at the Velosol cycling bar in Jalón for coffee (and maybe some pancakes...). The route starts and finishes in Benissa. Climbs on this ride are never long but as the route profile constantly changes, a pretty good fitness is required.

  • Distance: 40 Km.
  • Climbing: 650 m.
  • Duration: around 3 - 4 hrs (depending on breaks).

Spin me around

Route: Gata de Gorgos - Jesus Pobre - Gata de Gorgos

Flowy trails in the Spanish country side where you can just enjoy the pleasure of a mountain bike ride. And even better: no steep climbs!

We start our ride in Gata de Gorgos and cruise the trails at the foot of the Montgó mountain. We ride through vineyards, a small forest and pass the villages of Gata de Gorgos and Jesus Pobre where we can break for a good cup of coffee. Towards the end of the ride we ride a fun downhill track – not too difficult but good fun.

  • Distance: 38 Km.
  • Climbing: 500.
  • Duration: around 2,5 - 4 hrs (depending on breaks).

Don´t stop till you get enough

Route: Benissa - Senija - Calpe - Benissa

A combination of asphalted farm roads, forest paths, gravel roads, rocky trails and even a long downhill trail; this route has it all. And it's only a stone's throw off the coast!

We leave Benissa by descending several single tracks, go up and down the slopes of Sierra Olta before heading back to Benissa. It is a wonderfully scenic mountain bike tour with a lot of climbing and varied surface. The combination of short, steep climbs and nice descents makes this into an interesting but also pretty hard ride, so a good physical condition is required!

  • Distance: 35 Km.
  • Climbing: 650 m.
  • Duration: around 3 - 4 hrs (depending on breaks).

A route with a view

Route: Moraira / Benitachell - Cumbre del Sol - Cala Granadella - Jávea - Moraira

Riding on the edge between land and sea is why we call this ´a route with a view.´ We can either start the ride at Snakebite HQ in Moraira or if we want to limit the climbing metres, start in Benitachell. From there we´ll ride up Cumbre del Sol (or officially: Puig Llorença). We continue the tour right on top of the cliffs alongside the Mediterranean before dropping down to Cala Granadella, which is considered to be one of Spain's most beautiful bays. From there some more climbing lies ahead while we head to Jávea. From Jávea we roll back to Moraira and most likely by then we can feel our legs...

This ride is never really technical, so MTB novices will also be able to complete it.

  • Distance: 35 or 45 Km.
  • Climbing: 800 or 1.000 m.
  • Duration: about 3 - 4 hours.

Off road merry-go-round

Route: Benissa - Gata de Gorgos - Jesus Pobre - Benitachell - Teulada - Benissa

As much fun as cycling through nature is, it is also fun to cycle through the Spanish villages every now and then. On this route we string together a whole series: Benissa, Senija, Gata de Gorgos, Jesus Pobre, Benitachell, Teulada and back to Benissa. And in between: good trails!
